Hey everyone.

My friends,you guys might have noticed that I've gone quiet for the past few weeks. My GTA 5 game won't update on my PS3. After a lot of research,I have found other players experiencing this error,each one of them using PS3 Slim and Super Slim. I use a PS3 Super Slim and I can't update the game after several tries. The error code is 80710723. Formatting the game doesn't work,deleting the game and re-installing doesn't work. By the time the update is 99% complete,it says "1 second remaining" then the error happens. I went to the PlayStation Customer Support website and tried all the procedures given,and none worked. Please,if anyone in the crew has ever experienced an error like this,help me out,tell me the solution. You'll be doing this for other players with PS3 Slim and Super Slim to get back to GTA Online.

Answer
The PS3 error code 80710723 usually occurs when there is a software upgrade for the console. It means that there is either a network or router error. Make sure to check the connection to the router and that the PS3 is not becoming overheated. Make sure that the ports 80, 443 and 5223 are open on the firewall.

Sadly,no. I'm still trying to find a way to get this done. I'm also hoping the 1.11 update is the solution.

I am now deleting GTA 5 from my PS3 and I will re-install. If that doesn't work,I don't know what I would do.

Did you try the recovery menu on the ps3 if not try to restore the file system and rebuild database and if that dose not work try restore ps3 system

I've finally been able to update GTA 5 today. I'm really happy I was able to update. Thanks for the help Dank and G37. All it needed was the full power of the internet.

I'm having the same problem with v1.12 update. I looked everywhere and you're the only who seemed to fix it without doing anything horrible..... please reply asap i want to play

Man,what I mean is that you got to make sure that no one is using the internet. It should work,but if it doesn't,try multiple times. You have more chances to make it work if it's like early in the morning.
