San Andreas Open (tennis tournament)

Time to find out the Rafael Nadal among us. I am happy to announce the first tennis tournament for the crew members. The tournament will be in knockout format. If you want to join, please provide us with following details.

1. PSN ID
2. Preferred time: Choose the suitable one/ones from this time intervals (just tell Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4)
....a. Q1: UTC 12 midnight to 6 am
....b. Q2: UTC 6 am to 12 midday
....c. Q3: UTC 12 midday to 6 pm
....d. Q4: UTC 6 pm to 12 midnight

Registration deadline: March 2, Sunday

The rules regarding the tournament are:

1. We will try to match up players for the initial matches with similar available times. After we match you up with your opponent, contact them by yourselves to play the match and provide us the detailed score here after the match.

2. As stated above, the tournament will be in knockout format.

3. The length of the match (number of sets) can be set by the participating players by discussion prior to the match. In case of a disagreement, the match should be played with the longer number of sets proposed. Example, if one player wants to play one set and the other wants no less than three sets, then the match should be played for three sets.

4. In case of a disconnection, the ongoing game during a disconnection should be disregarded and the play should resume from the score of the last game. In this case, the players should count the total score (adding the new scores with the previous scores) by themselves.

5. In case a player disconnects/leaves and does not come back within half an hour without any reason, the match will be forfeited in favor of the waiting player.

6. It is the duty of the winning player to declare the result of a match as soon as it is finished here in this topic so that we can match the winner up with the next opponent.

I will keep updating the list of participating players and fixtures from now onwards. Keep practicing those aces with Amanda in the meantime. ;)Cheers!

Believe it or not the first round of the SA open has finally been played with myself winning in three straight sets, not that it was easy - jerzy gave me a run for my money all the way through the match. It was fun and intense and I can't wait till the next match up
